They had a great time and you all helped create a wonderful memory for them. I liked how engaged the kids were and all of the questions they were asking. \u00a0It was great timing\u00a0in conjunction with\u00a0 Martin Luther King Day approaching us because the students were able to sit on the bus that Rosa Parks sat on. \u00a0They were able to make a text to world connection as we read about MLK and how he supported her. Also, we have a student in our room who is a great, great granddaughter of Rosa Parks and it was really touching to see her sit in Rosa Parks seat.<\/p>\n<p>No spelling test due to the short week next week.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great weekend,<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Kearney<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A big thank you to everyone who helped keep an eye on all our students!
