Weekly Focus

Hello Families! I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend and beautiful weather. This week will be another short one. Please make sure to check into Google classroom each day to find your assignments. Please read all directions because sometimes there is work that needs to be completed but not turned in, such as watching a video. Here is our focus for the week.

Reading: Follow your IReady path. You need to complete 20 minutes a day and be passing lessons with 80% or higher in order to be prepared to do your best on the diagnostic test we will be doing in the next few weeks.

Writing: This week we’re focusing on reading and article and writing a summary. Make sure to include the main idea and supporting details. Make sure use the RACES strategy.

Math: There will be one fraction lesson this week. You must watch the video in order to understand the work. The video will be on Tuesday, and your exit ticket will be on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday you will be responsible for completing a Zearn lesson a day. By Friday you should have 2 Zearn lessons completed for the week.

Science: There will be one lesson on Thursday about food chains and food webs. Watch the instructional video first. 4th grade we will be focusing on living and non living things
