I will send home the study guide, which I also put below. I will also send home the articles and activities that we completed to help with studying.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, leave a comment below, email, or text!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Light Energy Study Guide<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You will need to match the words with the definitions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Light- a form of energy that you can see<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Translucent- a material that allows some light to pass through it.<\/li>\n<li>Opaque- a material that does NOT allow light to pass through it.<\/li>\n<li>Transparent- a material that allows light to pass through it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Shadow- a dark area on a surface created by an object blocking the path of light.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Reflect- to bounce off a surface.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Facts to know for multiple choice questions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Light travels in a straight line.<\/li>\n<li>Light can reflect off a surface.<\/li>\n<li>Light can come from many sources.<\/li>\n<li>The moon is not a light source.<\/li>\n<li>If I shine my flashlight on a <strong>clear<\/strong> window, the light would pass through the window.<\/li>\n<li>An example of a translucent material is a piece of tissue paper.<\/li>\n<li>When light waves strike an opaque object, a shadow forms.<\/li>\n<li>When light strikes a bumpy surface, the light bounces off and scatters in all directions.<\/li>\n<li>When light strikes a smooth surface, they bounce off and are reflected.<\/li>\n<li>An object\u2019s shadow is sharp and clear if the object is close to the wall.<\/li>\n<li>An object\u2019s shadow is blurry if the object is far from the wall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We will have a science test on our light unit the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
