Please check in with your child about their assignments, and reach out to me with any questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This week’s progress report will be in the same document, and will be available to you this coming Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n As you know, students will receive grades for their work beginning last week and continuing through the end of the school year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Those grades will fall into one of three categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please make sure students are doing their own work and writing their answers in their own words. If students are finding answers in a reading or online, they need to practice putting them into their own words. I will come up with a plan to teach students about this, and I encourage you to have a conversation with your child about the seriousness of copying work that is not their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students will be reflecting on Habit 8: Find Your Voice and Help Others Find Theirs. Students will watch a video of someone who found their voice, and then draw that it looks like <\/p>\n\n\n\n Remind students that they should be working on Zearn every day. I posted a Google Classroom assignment to remind them. There is no new assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1- Recorded reading lesson and questions will be posted around 12:30. Students should watch the video and complete the assignment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2- Read 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3- Finish up opinion writing assignment 3 from yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students should watch Mystery 2 of the Web of Life Unit, answering questions while they watch.
