Dear Parent or Guardian,<\/span><\/p>\n

I am very excited to be joining the Smith family this year as your child\u2019s Social Studies teacher and I would like to give you some information about my background.<\/span><\/p>\n

The decision to enter the teaching profession was one that I made after spending many years in the retail and business management fields and it has been the best decision I have ever made. \u00a0My experience in the working world outside of Education gives me a unique perspective that helps me to make my lessons more relevant to my students. \u00a0Since I began teaching 7 years ago, I have worked in a variety of educational settings, gaining experience working with students at both the middle and high school level. \u00a0In addition to working with students of different ages, I have worked with advanced students as well as those who have struggled with their school work. \u00a0I also have experience teaching students who are still learning to speak English.<\/span><\/p>\n
