Happy Friday:<\/p>\n

Today your child has a special homework assignment for writing.\u00a0 We are making a hard cover classroom book this year about penguins! Each child has been working in a small group to learn about a specific type of penguin: Emperor, King, Adele, Little, Gentoo, or Macaroni.\u00a0 Each child has been assigned one topic to write about their penguin.\u00a0 What they write will be published in our classroom book so they need to do their best work.\u00a0 Each child must write a paragraph (3-4 sentence).\u00a0 They may use the graphic organizer they are bringing home to help them or they may use the articles I posted on google classroom (Go to Clever, Click on Google Classroom, Click on Mrs. Patterson’s Second Grade Class, Click on Informational Penguin Writing (it’s the first link at the top)).\u00a0 Please do not use any other outside sources.\u00a0 Students are learning to not plagiarize so their sentences must be in their own words; not copied from the articles.\u00a0 This assignment is due on MONDAY.<\/p>\n

After our books are completed they will be available to purchase if you wish.\u00a0 You do not have to but some families have bought them in the past \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

  3. Do a weekly spelling activity<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Monday after school is STEM Night from 4:30-6:00.\u00a0 It is free and is put on by the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum.\u00a0 It should be tons of fun and I hope to see you there \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
