Can you even go one hour without it? Nowadays all people depend on technology. 91% of adults have their phones in arm reach every hour. Everything a person does now has to do with technology, it takes the old school\u00a0ways out and cheats its way into making everything easy. The more technology is used, the more lazy people become. People can get up and go to the movies with \u00a0friend but instead they fire up Netflix and stay home by themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Statistics show 82% of teens check their phones hourly and 50% of teens are addicted to phones. Raj Hill, a employee at Apple, gave me his expert opinion about technology. \u201cTechnology helps better someone,\u201d Raj says. \u201cTechnology is part of your daily life and it\u2019s never something bad, it\u2019s there to help people.&#8221; According to Raj, technology is just getting better and it does not affect people\u00a0in a bad way. Most people would agree with this statement, but I disagree because if you actually think\u00a0about it, technology does not affect people in a bad way now but it will in the long run.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/engage.dearbornschools.org\/docs\/life-vs-technology\/?bp-attachment=IMG_1681.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>People say that there is too much technology, like Zahra Hassan, a middle school journalist at Unis Middle School. \u201cThere is too much technology but it\u2019s not necessarily a bad thing,\u201d Zahra said. \u201cEverything we do now revolves around our phones and technology.\u201d Zahra said that advancing technology can make people more vulnerable to being hacked. Sarah Makki, a 15 year old sophomore at Fordson High School says, \u201cIt\u2019s a huge part of everyone\u2019s\u00a0life and we rely on it too much to do simple things.\u201d She says that people do depend on technology way too much. \u201cPeople get too distracted, technology is being taken too far because it does everything for us when we can do it without technology,\u201d Sarah says. \u201cTechnology has its advantages and disadvantages, like it can affect a person in a bad way but it also helps people.\u201d Many people with\u00a0agree with Sarah. People just use it to make it easier on their lives.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think about technology? Does it help people in a bad or good way? Technology is developing. Every new thing it brings up is more interesting and surprising. The technological advancements they make every year grabs everyone&#8217;s attention because in one year, the advancements makes every simple thing so easy when you can just do it without technology. Some kids do not know about writing letters are because they can just text message a person. Also, some people can\u2019t read maps to take them places because the GPS does the job for them.
