The San Francisco Earthquake has physically or emotionally hurt many by burning down the houses and some very tall buildings falling down on a lot of people, but the question is what did San Francisco turn into almost 100 years later? Here is some information that were found on the websites eyewitnesstohistory.com<\/a>and earthquake.usgs.gov.<\/p>\n

The San Francisco earth quake started at April 18, 1906 and only lasted a minute. Although the time of it was very short it caused one of the worst destructions known to man, and almost wiped out the entire city. And it has killed many people, As some died from falling buildings but others died from simple heart attacks. But many people say the\u00a0worst part was all of the fire that was spreading everywhere in the city.<\/p>\n

All of this really hurt a lot of people because many of the people whose house got destroyed ended up becoming homeless and had to sleep in a tent, or in a park, or for food people had to go and scavenge what they could find but they were only allowed to cook in certain areas so no more fires would start, as 500 streets got burned down during the earthquake, many of the fires were started by people who were just very scared.<\/p>\n

This was a very tragic event many people say San Francisco has re-built and is doing a lot better, according to www.sfchronicle.com<\/a> San Francisco has improved A LOT in just the past few years, this is mainly because of the improvement in the health system, which has improved over the past few years to be one of the best of the country, and not to forget all of the very successful casinos that have been built there in the past couple of years.<\/p>\n

And not to forget all of San Francisco\u2019s many attractions that include PIER 39. Many can agree that all of these things are great, but nothing can compare to the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge that many people from San Francisco said \u201cCould never be built\u201d. The golden gate bridge connects San Francisco to Santa Rosa, many people thought that this bridge was a dream, but It became a reality right in front of there eyes. and is now one of the biggest wonders known to man.<\/p>\n

Ali Mustapha an local 8th grader at Unis Middle School said, \u201cThe earthquake was a very harsh event, and it makes me very sad just to think about all of the kids that could of died or have died, but I think that San Francisco is doing a lot better since then as they have improved so much that to me it is one of the best cities in the usa, but the thing I like most about the city is all of the amazing attractions within the city, so there is always something to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

To conclude, San Francisco has had its bad times and such, but most people can agree that San Francisco has improved a lot, and can be considered one of the best cities in the usa because of all the attractions, such as the amazing Golden Gate Bridge, and Casinos that are in the big city, such as the very famous one called \u201cGraton Casino\u201d<\/p>\n
