<\/a><\/p>\nAccording to Fox News, Jayne Rowse and her partner, April Deboer, protested recently in front of the federal court in Detroit, Michigan. They feel that being allowed to get married only in fourteen states and being banned in thirty-five others is not fair to them. A trial date has been set by Judge Bernard Friedman for February 25, 2014 regarding the legality of gay marriage. Gay marriage will be banned at least until then.<\/p>\n

Rhonda Lancaster, a middle school teacher, said that \u201cEverybody should have somebody to love. In Russia, gays have been beaten, and elsewhere they have been banned from the Olympics. This is not fair and people should have their freedom around the world, not only in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not everyone agrees that gay marriage should be completely allowed. Hussein Taha, for example, a forty-seven year-old pharmacist, said, \u201cGays shouldn\u2019t be allowed to get married at all. It\u2018s a sin and God created different genders so we can get married and reproduce.\u201d\u00a0 Many conservative Americans who agree with his views.<\/p>\n
Currently, people from Russia are being jailed and murdered for being homosexuals.\u00a0 The Russian government does not sympathize with gay people and feel that they are breaking morality laws.\u00a0 Homosexuals are looked at with disgust by most Russian people.\u00a0 To stay safe many gay Russians are in secret societies.<\/p>\n
Data taken from fifty student interviews show at Unis Middle School many think that gay people are disobeying God\u2019s orders. Many of these students think of homosexuality as a sin for religious reasons and admit they were raised to be against it. However, one student named Mahdy Taleb said, \u201cPeople should be free to do whatever they want and it should not be our business. Even though I think it\u2019s a sin that they are going to pay for, I am not them, so why should I care?\u201d Another student, Habib El Fakih, disagreed with Mahdy Taleb and said, \u201cGay people shouldn\u2019t be allowed to get married. What\u2019s happening in Russia is not fair, but they are asking for it.\u201d<\/p>\n
As you see there is a lot of different opinions about gay marriage. There is a lot of people against it and many people for gay marriage. Decisions are still being made in courts. Michigan recently allowed gay marriages. \u00a0The legislators appealed the decision a few weeks \u00a0later partially due to violence against gays. You\u2019ll never know, maybe tomorrow gay marriage would be allowed in your state or country.<\/p>\n
