Whether you watch action, horror, adventure, or comedy, movies have taken up a great amount of our time. Imagine there being an average of 57 movies per month! Try watching all the movies that come out! Although you may not notice it, the movies you pick can have a great deal with your personality. Are you an outgoing person, an \u201cadrenaline junkie\u201d or maybe even a comedian?<\/p>\n
Red Dawn, Insidious, Trainwreck, all these are examples of the types of movies people watch. Each person has their own taste in movies. Cathey Hamadi, an eighth grader, that attends Unis MIddle school described herself as a \u201c light-hearted and positive person.\u201d She said that she likes to watch movies in the comedy genre.<\/p>\n
Take a moment and think about how you would describe your personality. Done? Great! Now think about the movies you watch. Notice how the movies that you watch have something in common with your personality. Whether it be that the character has the same name as you or thinks in a similar way as you, you may be engaged in watching them more. Cathey Hamadi also said that she \u201clooks up\u201d to the characters but that she believes that she can \u201ccontrol the way I act and the way the movies affect me.\u201d<\/p>\n
Your behavior and the movies you watch. There\u2019s more to that sentence than meets the eye. For example, have you ever watched a movie and began saying something the character said; or have you ever acted out a scene from a movie with a couple of friends? One of the most famous quotes people use today is from The Terminator, in which the main character, The Terminator, (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) says \u201cHasta la vista, baby!\u201d<\/p>\n
After stating that she liked horror movies, Ms. Hassoun, an eighth grade math teacher at Unis Middle School,explained,\u201dWhen I was younger, i would get a kick out of playing tricks and scaring my brother. I would find humor in it.\u201d She also went on to say that she has a \u201cgoofy\u201d personality which she said explains why she loves romantic comedies even though she finds them unrealistic.<\/p>\n
Happy, mean, mad, sad or even dark, describe some moods people may have. They could all happen in the same day or on separate days. \u201cSometimes i have a dark and mean side and then I have a happy, funny, and playful side.\u201d On the dark and mean days, Bassel Taleb, an eighth grade student attending Unis Middle School, said that he likes to watch \u201cscary\u201d movies. While on happy, funny, and playful days, he likes to watch comedies.<\/p>\n
While you may not expect it, the movies you watch can say a lot about you. If you watch a lot of comedies, one might say that you are a light-hearted person. If you watch action movies, one might say that you are an adventurous person. Over all, movies can say a lot about the type of person you are. The next time you\u2019re looking for a movie to watch, think of the genre you look the most in.<\/p>\n
