As you may know, almost all middle schoolers and high schoolers have phones. Whether it\u2019s an iPhone or a Galaxy. Majority have Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, or Kik. Many things have changed because of social media.<\/p>\n

Family dinners aren\u2019t the same anymore. Dinner time used to be the time where families sit and talk to each other. Clinton Crace, a math teacher at Unis stated \u201cWe usually sit on the couch with a tray for each person and we would watch tv.\u201d He added, \u201cI don\u2019t want to say \u00a0that technology has ruined our lives, but but I can say that it has taken our lives.\u201d He has a good point because not everything about technology is negative.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have Snapchat, Instagram, Kik, Ask.fm, and Vine. They\u2019re addicting because I always want to know what other people are up to.\u201d Says Jada Yaldo a 7th grader at Unis. Jada thinks that her phone brainwashed her from lots of other things such as family, friends, being active, and school. \u00a0The problem in today\u2019s society is that people don\u2019t realize that knowing what others are up to isn\u2019t important. Spending time with your family and talking to them about something as simple as how their day went is important.<\/p>\n

Ali Nasser, Middle schooler at Unis Middle School stated \u201cIf I can go back to the time I didn\u2019t have a phone I would.\u201d He added, \u201cIt\u2019s to addicting and when I\u2019m on it, it distracts me from my family and school.\u201d<\/p>\n

For example, if you need help with something and nobody is there, you can use google. But it has taken over our lives because people depend on technology to do the things that people are too lazy to do.<\/p>\n
