Known for its unbelievably daring rides, Cedar Point brings excitement to people of all ages. The cost of the trip is a total of $65 dollars and must be paid with a partner before May 12. While at Cedar Point, partners must check in with the school staff at call in times. This is to make sure the students are okay and having a good time! The previous 8th graders that have gone to Cedar Point said that it was a day they will never forget. “I spent my time there with all my friends and went on all the rides,” Junior student Batoul Barakat says, “I still remember how excited I was when I was riding the Dragster.”

There was a problem for the graduating 8th graders of 2014. There weren’t enough people attending the trip so we needed at least 100 more people to come so the buses would fill up. “It irritates me how a bunch of people are planning on going to Cedar Point but they aren’t paying. However, I am still trying my best to make everyone pay,” a very positive student Batoul Bazzi states.

70 people have currently paid for the trip, but it still isn’t enough. As the dead line comes closer, more people start to pay. If you received an E or got suspended in the last two card-markings, you would not be eligible to attend the trip anymore. “Because I got suspended a week before our trip to Cedar Point, I never got to go,” former Unis student Hussein Abdallah says.

Cedar Point can be a great way to end the school year and memory of an 8th grader. Remember, pay on time, keep your grades up, and have a fun time with your friends.

Jenan Barakat

Unis Middle School Journalist

For the past three years, Unis Middle School’s 8th graders have been going to an end of the year field trip to one of the most visited, scariest, and exciting amusement parks in the world.
