Most people prefer a smaller family because of the problems of large families. Many people don&#8217;t know is that there is a lot benefits that come with a big family. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/11\/Screenshot-2017-11-27-at-8.25.39-AM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2065 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/11\/Screenshot-2017-11-27-at-8.25.39-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"165\" height=\"214\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steve Drinkert, a Language Arts teacher at Unis MIddle School has a big family. He has 5 kids, a nephew that lives with him, and his wife that he needs to support. After asking Mr. Drinkert about how \u00a0he budgets his money he says, \u201dthe first thing my wife and I do is set aside money for the bills like, the car payments and house payment etc&#8230;. Then we also put aside money for food and all the supplies we need for the house.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/11\/Screenshot-2017-11-27-at-8.25.27-AM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2066 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/11\/Screenshot-2017-11-27-at-8.25.27-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"131\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Statista.com the average number of people per family in the United States in 2016 is 3.14 people per household. 3 people in a family \u00a0is considered having a small family, a mom and dad and one child. Jawad Anani an 8th grader at Unis Middle school \u00a0says\u201dThat it feels good to be an only child because I get whatever I want but sometimes it gets lonely \u00a0at home because I have no one there\u201d. April Kincaid a teacher at Unis Middle school says\u201dI liked growing up as an only child.\u201d She also said that \u201cbig families spend a lot more on clothes,products for the house,for food and transportation. Which in my family we do not spend that much.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/11\/Screenshot-2017-11-27-at-8.25.47-AM-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2068 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/11\/Screenshot-2017-11-27-at-8.25.47-AM-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"154\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Samir Dakhlallah, an assistant principal at Unis Middle School has a \u00a0medium size family. He has 3 kid plus him and his wife. Mr.Dakhlallah says, \u201chow I budget my money is that I make sure that i insure the fact that \u00a0I have my needs which is my house payment also food, water, shelter and space. Then I spend the difference of my money trying to educate my kids. After my kids are educated we have a little lit bit of money for wants, and obviously I put away a little bit of money incas of a rainy day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In today&#8217;s society , not so many people \u00a0have big families.Budgeting for a large family seems extremely tough.
