Well, they are ingredients used in the foods we eat every day. This is very astonishing, because they can cause many illnesses such as obesity and metabolic diseases. Realizing this, a question arises: why do food industries use these ingredients in their food?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Since corn syrup is a substitute for expensive ingredients such as sugar and sweeteners, food industries use it to save money. \u00a0Also, there&#8217;s a high demand on their products, therefore, using these ingredients gives them a bigger profit and saves time. It might sound like a good reason to use these ingredients. Aspartame is sold as an artificial low calorie sweetener. It\u2019s typically used by diabetics or as part of a \u201clow calorie\u201d diet because it is much sweeter, at a much lower calorie count.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although they might be useful, trisodium Phosphate and aspartame are ingredients \u00a0that are used in foods we eat everyday, such as gum or our daily breakfast cereal. People consume large amounts of these ingredients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This can be dangerous because if these ingredients are consumed in large amounts, they can cause illnesses. Safa beydoun also says \u201c When consumed in concentrated amounts, TSP can lead to irritation and possibly metabolic alkalosis .\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we saw above, this is the worst health epidemic, and it will continue if we don&#8217;t pay attention to what we and our families consume.These deadly ingredients are causing diseases all over the world and are the main cause for obesity. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There exists many substitutions to these ingredients and, therefore, people should be aware of what they eat. Furthermore, certain companies have started using <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">better ingredients as well as organic foods.
