The foreign aid spending is about 0.1% of the Gross National Product, but some people feel this is too much, and I disagree.

If we take less than 10% what America spends on military aid/weapons annually, we can free public tuition, and house every homeless person in America, while helping other countries. The money could also go to unemployment benefits or farm subsidies. $3.8 billion a year from the federal budget isn’t much. America just doesn’t focus its priorities on the country. That 10% can benefit a lot of things the U.S doesn’t pay attention to like education, public services, foster homes, and homelessness.
While others might argue that we still spend too much, I contradict on that. The federal budget is $3.8 trillion. With all this money, the Pentagon still seems to lose $6.5 trillion, and Russia still is able to hack the FBI. At least with the money spent, we would be able to know where it’s going, whom it’s going to, and if it is beneficial. The largest portion of the money goes to health. The money goes to HIV/AIDS projects, and humanitarian assistance, etc.

According https://www.npr.org when asked how they felt about foreign aid spendings, fifty-six percent of the poll respondents thought the U.S. spends too much on foreign aid.
