Whether it\u2019s good or bad, siblings can have an extreme effect on their other siblings. Siblings have a drastic role in not only kids and teenagers, but also adults. Most adults will still contact their siblings for advice. Even though all siblings fight, they always have a bond that keeps them connected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During an interview with 8th grader, Batual Alsalamy, who has an older sister in 9th grade, she stated, \u201cIf I didn\u2019t have my sister I would be looking like a lost puppy.\u201d Batual believes that her sister has had an amazing impact on her life, in many great ways, such as getting over fears. Batual says that even though it doesn\u2019t seem like much, her sister helped her overcome her fear of riding a bike, and that had a huge toll on her considering how frightened she was of it. She also believes this small thing helped them build a better bond.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/FullSizeRender-3-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1614 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/FullSizeRender-3-1-184x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"204\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/FullSizeRender-3-1-184x300.jpg 184w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/FullSizeRender-3-1-280x457.jpg 280w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/FullSizeRender-3-1.jpg 392w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 125px) 100vw, 125px\" \/><\/a>Nadia Dawud, who also has one sibling, says that if she didn\u2019t have her older brother she wouldn\u2019t be the way she is. She believes her brother has encouraged her to be more social and interact more with people. When asked about her brother, Nadia said, \u201cHe has impacted my life by always being there for me, and I can trust him more than anyone.\u201d Nadia also goes on to talk about how he has encouraged her to make friends at when moving to her new school. She says, \u201c&#8230;I never thought I would have the friends that I have.\u201d This is because the encouragement of her older brother. Both girls said they believe that single kids are missing out on a lot of interaction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ayah Berro, who has 5 sisters, says that although her sisters are annoying, t<a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3974-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1615 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3974-2-169x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"103\" height=\"183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3974-2-169x300.png 169w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3974-2.png 180w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 103px) 100vw, 103px\" \/><\/a>hey have encouraged her to do things when she felt she couldn\u2019t such as continuing dance. If it hadn\u2019t been for her sisters, she wouldn\u2019t have kept dancing, and she wouldn\u2019t be where she is now.\u00a0However, during an interview with Zeinab Osseili, also an 8th grader at Unis Middle School, she says that she enjoys being the only <a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3534-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1616 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3534-4-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"106\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3534-4-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3534-4-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3534-4-280x498.jpg 280w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3534-4-660x1173.jpg 660w, https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/journalism\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/929\/2017\/02\/IMG_3534-4.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 106px) 100vw, 106px\" \/><\/a>child and getting spoiled. She also says that even though she likes not having to argue with siblings she usually finds herself getting bored. Zeinab states, \u201cYes, I think I missed out on lots of fun moments, arguments, and standing up for a brother or sister.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, even though being an only child has its perks, no one wants to feel lonely. Although you may get spoiled and be the favorite, without your siblings, you\u2019d miss out on many precious moments that you hold most valuable.
