Students will complete all work online.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students are also required to complete 50 minutes of typing each week.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For projects, students use a website called Frontier. Frontier allows students to choose a topic to research and complete a project once research is done.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will not have homework unless they fall behind on their project in class. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please check student\/parent connect at least once a week to stay updated on your student\u2019s grade. In this class students will complete several projects using Google docs, slides, and spreadsheets. Students will also work on their typing speed and accuracy during bellwork.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Materials Needed Daily:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Folder\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All handouts given in class\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Grades:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Typing= 100 formative points\/week<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Projects= 68 summative points\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presentation=100 summative points<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Projects will be graded on Google Classroom. It is the student\u2019s responsibility to turn projects in on time and check their grade and feedback.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Plagiarism Policy:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plagiarism is taking ideas or writing of another and presenting them as your own.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This includes:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turing in another\u2019s work as if your own.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Copying work from a friend.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Including a source, but failing to cite it properly.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Copying an author\u2019s exact words and passing them off as your own.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Students who plagiarize will be given a zero for that assignment and it cannot be redone.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Expectations:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be on time and start typing (bellwork) right away.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NEVER touch another student\u2019s computer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be courteous, and demonstrate respect for yourself, classmates, teacher, and materials.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No gum, candy, food, or drinks.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay on websites that are for assignments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make sure your computer is put away properly at the end of class.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Consequences for not following expectations:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Warning<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parent Contact\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social Responsibility Room <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome Frontier Parents, Below are a few reminders about our class:\u00a0 Our class is a Project Based Learning Class.
