Here is an outline of today\u2019s assignments (Tuesday, May 19th<\/sup>):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf READING:  Listen to the story, \u201cHow I Became a Pirate,\u201d https:\/\/youtu.be\/y4m_BW5yddU<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discuss:  <\/em><\/strong>Retell the story, \u201cHow I Became a Pirate,\u201d to someone at home.  Don\u2019t forget to include the characters, setting, problem, and solution in your retelling!  If you\u2019re feeling like a challenge, have mom\/dad record a video of you retelling the story + send it to your teacher!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf WRITING:  Make a paper book and write your own \u201cIf I Was a Pirate\u2026\u201d story!  Leave the cover page blank, for now.  Turn to page. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start your story by describing the setting (where does your story take place?), your pirate ship (what does it look like?), and your crew (who is with you on the ship?).  Use speech bubbles, pictures, and sentences to tell your story!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
