Or maybe more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll cut a hundred,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A thousand too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was happening?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, my explorers started their exploration of the letter L<\/strong>. They created their \u201cmini L<\/strong> book\u201d and they collected different images that start with the letter L<\/strong> <\/strong>and glued them inside. They also started their \u201cI Can Write\u201d<\/strong> packet about the letter of the week, the letter L<\/strong>. The explorers made a ladybug out of construction papers that represented the letter L.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For their reading comprehension, the explorers were reading \u201cMy teacher is a Monster! No, I Am Not<\/strong>” book by “Peter Brown”<\/strong>. We answered \u201cwh\u201d questions, such as, \u201cWhat story did we read?\u201d<\/strong> and, \u201cwho was the character in the story?\u201d<\/strong>. We ended this week by reviewing “What’s Up, Duck? A Book of Opposites<\/strong>” by \u201cTad Hills\u201d<\/strong>. We have been also learning how to identify words and pictures when are presented by the teacher or the staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, we continued our learning of the core word \u201cGO\u201d<\/strong>. Each one of the explorers has their own copy of the book \u201cWhere did you go?” <\/strong>book so they can enjoy it with their families at home. They enjoyed reading the book with the teacher and other staff, as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A big shout out and thank you for Abdou A. & Adam F. from Ms. Polster’s class for helping out and reading a story with our little ones. Fourth graders, you rock! because of you, our “Reading Buddies” program is amazing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also revisited our five senses in science this week. We learned that we have five senses: hearing, seeing, smelling, feeling, and tasting. We used our science book \u201cI Use My Senses\u201d <\/strong>by \u201cAmy Bihn\u201d <\/strong>and illustrated by \u201cApril Black\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this week’s math, we started a new concept, shapes<\/strong>. The explorers had the chance to play games with shapes, trace different shapes, and identify them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our kiddos enjoyed their educational and fun time during their visits to Gym, Music, and Art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
