Today, in class, we organized our binders.\u00a0 For students who didn’t have the binders and tabs, you should have written down the label for each section so that you can come to class prepared with an organized binder on Monday.\u00a0 Please make sure to do so.<\/p>\n
I shared the first SAT list of words<\/strong>\u00a0(mimic, cajole, fabricate, refrain, and revel) with students and went over, citing examples and completing one of the sections together.\u00a0 The quiz is next Friday.\u00a0 Every Friday there is a quiz and a new list is distributed.\u00a0 I explained the quiz format – students must know the five words and be ready to write them down on the quiz sheet and to use those words to continue the quiz where I will have 5 sentences written out and they need to choose the word that fits into each sentence.\u00a0 We will continue working on this on Monday so that there is guidance here in class but students are free to complete it at home if they are comfortable doing so.\u00a0 These sheets will be submitted with the quiz every Friday for my review.<\/p>\n We still have a few summer book talks to complete.\u00a0 The goal is to have these done by Monday or Tuesday.<\/p>\n Reminder:\u00a0 picture day is Tuesday, September 18th.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Happy Friday and a great weekend to all.
