I understand that many people will need additional information, I am providing links to the materials. Please reach out with any questions or concerns, I will try to answer your questions or find the appropriate response.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This is the new schedule that we will be following, starting 4\/20\/2020:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Day of the Week<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Class Period<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Time<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Mode of Delivery<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Monday<\/td><td>\u2014-<\/td><td>11:00 -2:00<\/td><td>Office Hours (email, Remind, phone call)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Tuesday<\/td><td><br>1st<br><br>2nd<\/td><td><br>1:00 \u2013 1:40<br><br>2:00 \u2013 2:40<\/td><td><br>Google Hangout&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Wednesday<\/td><td><br>3rd<br><br>4th<\/td><td><br>1:00 \u2013 1:40<br><br>2:00 \u2013 2:40<\/td><td><br>Google Hangout<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Thursday<\/td><td><br>5th<br><br>6th<\/td><td><br>1:00 \u2013 1:40<br><br>2:00 \u2013 2:40<\/td><td><br>Google Hangout<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Friday<\/td><td>\u2014-<\/td><td>11:00 \u2013 2:00<\/td><td>Office Hours (email, Remind, phone call)<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">High School Grading Criteria COVID-19 School Shutdown<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students received a grade for marking period 4, which ended March 6th.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There will be no 5th marking period grade given.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There will be no 6th marking period progress reports assigned<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the 6th marking period:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Students receive feedback on weekly assignments in the form of narrative comments.&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><em>Staff will input grades at least weekly in the gradebook as work is completed.&nbsp; This will be available in parent\/student connect for parents and students to view.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><em>For each class, if a student participates in the learning, he\/she will receive credit.&nbsp; The following will apply:<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Students who do the following will earn the grade of A recorded:<\/em><\/strong><ul><li><strong><em>Engage in at least 75% of the remote lessons and hangouts.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><em>Submit and earn a passing grade on at least 75% of the assignments.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><em>Students who do the following will earn the grade of G which awards credit:<\/em><\/strong><ul><li><strong><em>Engage in 60-74% of the remote lessons and hangouts.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><em>Submit and earn a passing grade on at least 60-74% of the assignments.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><em>Students who do the following will earn the grade of N which is no credit given:<\/em><\/strong><ul><li><strong><em>Engage in less than 60%&nbsp; of the remote lessons and hangouts.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><em>Submit and earn a passing grade on less than 60% of the assignments.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Any student who receives no credit will have to attend summer school for credit recovery.&nbsp; (Students must meet the Michigan Merit Curriculum requirements and earn 23 credits to graduate.)<\/em><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><em>There will be a district appeal process for a student contesting their 6th marking period grade.<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ASSIGNMENTS <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Assignments will be posted every Monday by 11:00 am and will be due by midnight on Sunday.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Assignments will be posted on the I Blog with directions to find the assignments in either Google Classroom or I learn.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>GRADES !!!!!!!!!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What about grading? Does the work count?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Yes, you will receive credit for 2nd semester as long as you are engaged and participating in learning opportunities beginning April 20th.
