I hope everyone had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend.<\/p>\n

Spelling words this week focus on word endings called suffixes: friendly, likely, careful, coldness, walkable. There are no Dolch words this week but there will be “mystery” words based on the suffixes we’re learning this week.<\/p>\n

We’re still working with narrative (story) writing. This week the students will be writing for our District prompt.<\/p>\n

We’ll continue reading informational text to answer questions based on the passage.<\/p>\n

Social studies will study an issue in a fictional Michigan community and we’ll be discussing and writing about how the community solved the problem.<\/p>\n

Math begins a new module about shapes\/telling time. We are down the last few weeks of school, so I’ll be skipping around a bit to introduce these concepts to the students.<\/p>\n

This week is also our District STEAM project which we’ll be doing Thursday afternoon. If you have any shoe boxes\/paper tubes, yarn, etc. please send it in. We’ll be getting creative \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
