{"id":816,"date":"2019-02-12T08:37:03","date_gmt":"2019-02-12T13:37:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/herrodl\/?p=816"},"modified":"2019-02-12T08:37:03","modified_gmt":"2019-02-12T13:37:03","slug":"100th-day-of-school-is-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/herrodl\/2019\/02\/12\/100th-day-of-school-is-tomorrow\/","title":{"rendered":"100th Day of School is tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now that we&#8217;re home once again, if you&#8217;re looking for something to do with your child\/children, here&#8217;s an idea.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow is day 100 of school so, if they&#8217;d like to get creative and take 100 of something found around the house: noodles, beans, cereal pieces, stickers, paperclips, etc. They can make a picture or a design using those 100 pieces. I&#8217;ve had some very creative projects in the past \ud83d\ude42 You can glue onto a piece of construction paper or just regular paper, a side of an empty cereal box or shoe box. Anything will work!\u00a0I have had students even draw 100 of a design if they didn&#8217;t have glue or anything to use at home.<\/p>\n<p>Some have glued 10 rows of 10 to make 100. Others have used those 100 to make a picture of some kind. I&#8217;ve had students spell their name then add a design with the rest of the\u00a0100 pieces.<\/p>\n<p>This fits in with our math unit and is a fun way to practice counting 10 groups of 10 to make sure you have 100 then getting creative!<\/p>\n<p>Have fun and I&#8217;m looking forward to seeing what you come up with when you bring\u00a0your creation to school \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now that we&#8217;re home once again, if you&#8217;re looking for something to do with your child\/children, here&#8217;s an idea.
