Our class is going Friday morning<\/strong>. If you&#8217;d like your child to purchase a book, please send money in by then. A form will be coming home this week.<\/p>\n<p>Library books are due Wednesday. Our book check out day is Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll be having our second Social Studies test this week. A study guide will be coming home today. The test is taken on the computers and the written portion in class as a usual written assignment.<\/p>\n<p>Spelling words this week have the diagraphs we learned last week at the end of the word: each, match, which, dish, wish. The Dolch reading words: both, this, that, wish, wash.<\/p>\n<p>Our reading strategy is point of view. We&#8217;ll be reading stories and talking about the different characters point of view of the same events.<\/p>\n<p>Our writing focus shifts to narrative (story) writing for the next few weeks. I&#8217;ll be reviewing that stories need 1 or more characters, a setting, a main event or problem and a solution to that problem.<\/p>\n<p>Math this week continues the focus on counting to 1,000 using a place value chart and writing the models for numbers.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy your week \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PTA book fair begins this week.
