School dismisses at 11:45 so no lunch will be served.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Notes will be coming home today about Halloween costumes, the parade\u00a0<strong>and<\/strong> conference notes will be sent home. Please return those as soon as possible so I can reschedule any that need it. If you signed up for a conference time at open house, that is the time you&#8217;ll have. I scheduled everyone else in.<\/p>\n<p>Spelling words this week focus on the long i sound spelling ie or y: try, cry, pie, tie, wild. The Dolch words: by, my, fly, why, write<\/p>\n<p>Our reading strategy continues with non fiction text. Reading for facts, reading the titles, headings and captions under the pictures to gain information.<\/p>\n<p>Writing continues also with non fiction. We are gathering information about owls by reading texts and will then write a report about owls.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll be looking at a map of Dearborn and learning about the human characteristics (man made)\u00a0 we see.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Library Book check out this Thursday. Please return school library books if they are at home.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Social Studies Family Fun night is this Thursday 5:00-6:30.
