This is the last week for the morning fruit\/vegetable snack.<\/p>\n
This week’s Spelling words focus on the “ear” sound:\u00a0 near, gear, deer, peer, where. Dolch words: was, their, were, think, buy<\/p>\n
We’re still focusing on the reading strategy of reading a non fiction passage and being able to answer specific questions as well as understanding the main idea. I am tying this into our writing by having the students read their animal books for facts related to their chosen animal and writing those facts down on a recording sheet.<\/p>\n
Math continues to focus on measuring and this week using a ruler and a tape measure. We will also learn about the area of a shape.<\/p>\n
We’ll also be learning more about Dearborn’s history for our next Social Studies unit.<\/p>\n
