Spelling words this week focus on the “hard” and “soft” sounds for the letters c and g: city, cent, cave, gym, girl. Dolch words: give, gave, clean, carry, call.<\/p>\n
We’ll be continuing our CAFE strategy of sequencing a story focusing on the key events as well as setting and characters.<\/p>\n
Our Writing unit also continues with each student writing their opinion of a book they like that they think someone else would like to read. They are supporting their opinion with 3 appropriate reasons.<\/p>\n
Our new Math unit is all about fractions. Students need to be able to read, write and show the fractions 1\/3, 1\/4, 1\/2 for circles, squares, and rectangles.<\/p>\n
We’re learning about natural resources and capital resources (tools, people, money) needed to make products. This is taught through stories then related to our daily life.<\/p>\n
Spirit Friday is hat day. PBIS February reward day is this Wednesday. I have already talked to those students who have earned this reward. Those that chose a toy from home will bring it that day, as well as, any electronics.<\/p>\n
