Absences:<\/strong> If students are absent, they will be provided with all of the makeup work when they return. If for any reason your student is going to be absent for multiple days, please let me know and I will get work together for you.<\/p>\n Homework requirements:<\/strong> Homework will be different each week with some assignments remaining consistent. All students are required to ready for 30 minutes each night. Reading on Mobymax.com or Myon.com will count for this. Students will also have a spelling assignment schedule that will have an activity for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday’s spelling homework is studying for the spelling test. Students are expected to know word spelling and meaning, for these tests.<\/p>\n Classroom Communication:<\/strong> Messages and notes will be sent home frequently through Classroom Dojo and the on the classroom blog. Dojo will be used to track behaviors, homework\u00a0completion,\u00a0and student preparedness for class instruction. It is important to monitor this frequently as it is implemented school-wide and all teachers in the building can send you notes and comments.The blog will be updated each Monday with an itinerary for the week in all subjects, including the spelling words. Grades are updated very regularly and I encourage you to check Parent Connect. The link for P.C. is on the main page,\u00a0under the class links section.<\/p>\n Snacks and Drinks:\u00a0<\/strong>Students will have time for a healthy snack during our work time in the morning around 10:30 each morning. Snacks are now required to be healthy snacks which means no sugary snacks or candy. Each student can also have a reusable water bottle to be kept at their desk. Make sure they are plastic and will not leak. Students are only allowed to have water.
