{"id":219,"date":"2019-09-10T13:38:27","date_gmt":"2019-09-10T17:38:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/harrisonblog8\/?p=219"},"modified":"2019-09-18T14:36:15","modified_gmt":"2019-09-18T18:36:15","slug":"developing-vocabulary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/harrisonblog8\/2019\/09\/10\/developing-vocabulary\/","title":{"rendered":"Developing Vocabulary"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Here are the vocab definitions we presented in class today to develop the academic vocabulary of the concept we have been covering (complicated systems):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VOCAB TAB, PAGE #1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>System:  A group of related parts that make up a whole and can carry out functions its individual parts cannot<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br> System model: A representation of systems and their interactions, such as inputs, processes, and outputs, and the flow of energy, matter, and information within systems<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br> Subsystem: Within a large system, there may be smaller systems that each carry out a task.
