This week our second grade students will be working on:<\/p>\n
Reading: \u00a0Students will\u00a0ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why, and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text.<\/p>\n
Math: \u00a0Students will\u00a0solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and \u00a2 symbols appropriately. For example: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have? 2NBT.2 Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s.<\/p>\n
Writing: \u00a0Students will work on opinion writing. \u00a0They will work on editing, revising and publishing.<\/p>\n
