This week our second grade students will be working on:<\/p>\n

\n

Reading: \u00a0Students will\u00a0ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why, and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text.<\/p>\n

Math: \u00a0Students will draw a picture graph and a bar graph (with single-unit scale) to represent a data set with up to four categories. \u00a0They will solve simple put-together, take-apart, and compare problems using information presented in a bar graph.<\/p>\n

Writing: \u00a0Students will work on opinion writing. \u00a0They will work on coming up with an idea, supporting reasons and will be editing, revising and publishing.<\/p>\n

Science: Students will learn how to\u00a0<\/span>explain the sturcture, properties and interactions of matter. They will observe mixtures and changes that are made when solids are mixed with water and then become solids again.<\/p>\n

Social Studies: \u00a0Students will learn about economic wants and how it affects the community and what a business specializes in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
