Students will be<\/p>\n<p>able to describe the overall structure of a story, including describing how the beginning introduces the story and the ending concludes the action.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>writing<\/strong>\u00a0students will be able to write narratives in which they<\/p>\n<p>recount a well\u2010elaborated event or short sequence of events, include details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, use temporal words<\/p>\n<p>to signal event order, and provide a sense of closure.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>math<\/strong>, students will be able to\u00a0read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. \u00a0They will be able to count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>science,<\/strong>\u00a0Students are investigating sand, pebbles and silt.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>social studies<\/strong>, Students are learning about families, communities, and needs and wants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In\u00a0reading, we are working on testing student levels.
