The publication is part of the overall communication effort to share the great news and information about the Dearborn Public Schools with the thousands of residents living in the district.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cOur parents do a great job of staying informed about all that is happening in the classroom and at our schools but we really felt we were missing a large part of our community who wanted to know about all the exciting news and events taking place in our district,\u201d said David Mustonen, Communications Director. \u201cWe hope this publication, along with the accompanying website, will help to fill that gap.\u201d<\/h3>\n<h3><i>The First Bell<\/i>\u00a0will highlight student and staff achievements, events going on in the schools, and other news important to the community. The print version of the newsletter will contain special QR codes throughout the publication. The codes can be scanned with a smartphone and will automatically take readers to additional coverage of a story that might include a video, more photos, or in depth commentary.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cThe Board of Education understands how important it is for all of our community to be informed about the news and events taking place in our district. I appreciate their commitment to using a variety of communication tools to reach our stakeholders,\u201d commented Dearborn Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Glenn Maleyko.<\/h3>\n<h3>Look for the printed newsletter in your mailbox the week of December 11th\u00a0and then each month following through the end of the school year in June. \u00a0The online version of\u00a0<i>The First Bell<\/i>\u00a0will feature additional coverage of stories found in the print version and will be updated throughout the month.
