They also design, build, and program LEGO MINDSTORMS<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>-based robots to perform autonomous \u201cmissions\u201d on a playing field. Along the way, they develop critical thinking, team-building, and presentation skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Grades 4-8; ages 9-14 (ages vary by country)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstinspires.org\/robotics\/fll\/what-is-first-lego-league\">What is FIRST LEGO League?<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When students are engaged in hands-on STEM experiences, they build confidence, grow their knowledge and develop habits of learning.
