Good afternoon! I will try and post pictures, updates and information on here when I get the chance to! Although I have this blog, the majority of my posts will be on remind. This application is much easier to manage, access, and communicate through. If you are not signed up for my class on remind, please do so as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

One thing that I wanted to update you about is the importance of students reading at home. With the new Read by Third law it is very important that students are completing their reading at home. Here are some steps we are doing as a building to ensure that our students are at the reading levels they need to be:<\/p>\n

    Reading book bags will go home daily<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Students must\u00a0read<\/span>\u00a0books:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. \n

      K-1 (15+\u00a0minutes<\/span>\u00a0daily)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      2-5 (30<\/span>+\u00a0minutes<\/span>\u00a0daily)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      Students will complete a reading assignment daily<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      Book Logs\u2013 Signed daily by parents<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Online reading websites through the District homepage (CLEVER)\u00a0https:\/\/dearbornschools.org\/<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0and in our Monthly Newsletter<\/p>\n

      Please make sure that you do see your child taking out their book bag everyday and practicing reading those books. Please also sign the reading log that will be in your child\u2019s folder. There are questions on the back of the reading log that you may ask your child to reinforce the importance of your child comprehending what they are reading. Thank you for your support.
