{"id":491,"date":"2016-11-06T18:56:09","date_gmt":"2016-11-06T23:56:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/hammouh\/?p=491"},"modified":"2016-11-06T18:56:09","modified_gmt":"2016-11-06T23:56:09","slug":"weekly-objectives-for-november-7th-11th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/hammouh\/2016\/11\/06\/weekly-objectives-for-november-7th-11th\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly Objectives for November 7th &#8211; 11th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s hard to believe we have already completed the first card marking. \u00a0I\u2019m looking forward to meeting with each of you in the next two weeks at parent-teacher conferences. \u00a0Monday begins card marking 2 which means a fresh start for us all. \u00a0There will be no school on Tuesday for election day. \u00a0Here are all the exciting things we will be doing this week.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Reading:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Describe the overall structure (e.g., chronology, comparison, cause\/effect, problem\/solution) of events, ideas, concepts, or information in a text or part of a text.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Math:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Interpret a multiplication equation as a comparison, e.g., interpret 35 = 5 x 7 as a statement that 35 is 5 times as many as 7 and 7 times as many as 5. Represent verbal statements of multiplicative comparisons as multiplication equations.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Science:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We will start a new unit this week-\u00a0Properties and Changes in Matter.<\/p>\n<p>P.PM.E.2 States of Matter- Matter exists in several different states: solids, liquids, and gases. Each state of matter has unique physical properties. Gases are easily compressed, but liquids and solids do not compress easily.
