Here is our weekly objectives:<\/p>\n

Reading:<\/p>\n

\u00a0By the end of the year, read and comprehend informational texts, including history\/social studies, science, and technical texts, in the grades 4-5 text complexity band proficiently, with scaffolding as needed at the high end of the range.<\/span><\/p>\n

Math:<\/p>\n

Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
\nAbility to apply knowledge of factors, finding an unknown factor in an equation, and the relationship between multiplication and area.
\nAbility to apply knowledge of the relationship between area and perimeter through the exploration of rectangles with the same area but different perimeters or rectangles with the same perimeter by different area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Social Studies:\u00a0\u00a0Identify Public issues in t he United States that influence the daily lives of its citizens. P3.1.2 Use Graphic data and other sources to analyze information about a public issue in the united States and evaluate alternative resolutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Science: Identifying living and nonliving things in an aquatic and terrestrial environment.<\/p>\n
