Hopefully the weather warms up soon. I can&#8217;t believe we only have a month and a half of this school year left. There has been some truly proud moments these past few months. Your children have really out shined their academic success since January. I am so eager to see their NWEA growth results this week. I am confident they will ALL show tremendous growth. Please take some time and tell them how proud you are as a parent to have such a smart child. Here is what we will be learning about this week.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #008000;\"><strong>Spelling:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This week students will be learning all out the vowel teams \/ea\/ and \/oa\/ If a syllable or one syllable word has two vowels, the first vowel usually stands for the long sound, and the second vowel is silent. These are often called vowel teams. The saying is used: We sing: &#8220;<em>When two vowels go walking the first one does the talking<\/em>.&#8221; Please look for our weekly spelling words in this weeks newsletter.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"irc_mi i8XGKGhyKkTU-pQOPx8XEepE aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/2bodero.weebly.com\/uploads\/1\/3\/2\/6\/13266523\/vowel_team_poster.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"247\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000; text-decoration: underline;\">Math:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Students will be writing and reading numbers up to 120 this week. We will be using a hundreds chart to help us through this weeks lessons. We will also be solving number grid puzzles. These can be a little challenging but I will show them some tricks to help them solve these puzzles. Some of this weeks homework will have number grid puzzles.
