{"id":1853,"date":"2011-09-15T14:12:06","date_gmt":"2011-09-15T19:12:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.dearbornschools.org\/gwizdza\/?p=1853"},"modified":"2011-09-15T14:12:06","modified_gmt":"2011-09-15T19:12:06","slug":"reflection-for-september-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/gwizdz\/2011\/09\/15\/reflection-for-september-15\/","title":{"rendered":"Reflection for September 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Boy, I should have worn a coat to school today!\u00a0 It was a chilly recess!\u00a0 As per usual, we were very busy today in Room 204.<\/p>\n<p>In math, we discussed divisibility tests.\u00a0 Ask your student what the divisibility test is for 2s and 3s.\u00a0 If he\/she can&#8217;t tell you, remind him\/her to study the divisibility rules in the SRB.\u00a0 We also covered Area and Perimeter again.<\/p>\n<p>In science, we are talking about conducting scientific experiments based on a hypothesis.\u00a0 The steps of the Scientific Method are :<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 State the problem<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 Formulate the hypothesis<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 Make observations<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 Design the experiment<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 Interpret Data<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0 Draw Conclusions<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0 Report results<\/p>\n<p>For Language Arts today, we discussed our &#8220;I&#8221; chart for Working on Writing.\u00a0 Students were introduced to the writing center, where they can find printed paper, blank paper, a 3 hole punch and a list of writing topics.\u00a0 We are always looking for donations of printed computer paper from the dollar store to add to our writing center for published work.\u00a0 If you are able to contribute, it would be appreciated!<\/p>\n<p>Finally, we had Buddy Reading with Mrs. Beydoun&#8217;s second graders.\u00a0 Our 5th graders did a wonderful job and were excellent role models.\u00a0 We enjoyed a little extra recess today because of this behavior!<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to a fun-filled Friday!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Boy, I should have worn a coat to school today!\u00a0 It was a chilly recess!\u00a0 As per usual, we were very busy today in Room 204.
