It was great seeing so many families at Open House!<\/p>\n

Science Enrichment updates:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade<\/strong> are learning about science tools and their uses.<\/p>\n

Content Objective:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/u>I can demonstrate comprehension of Science tools and their uses by exploring and using various tools at stations.<\/p>\n

Language Objective:\u00a0 <\/u>I can orally explain\u00a0 at least 2 science tools and what they are used for.<\/p>\n

Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders<\/strong> are learning about “TEAM” Building.\u00a0 In Science Enrichment the students work in groups to explore Science concepts.\u00a0 This week they were involved in a “Cup Tower” rebuilding challenge using only a rubber band and 4 pieces of string.\u00a0 The students had to work cooperatively and communicate with one another using the rubber band and string tool.<\/p>\n

Content Objective:\u00a0 <\/u>I can demonstrate application of working in a team by solving the “Cup Tower Rebuilding Challenge” using solo cups, rubber bands, and 4 pieces of string to create a useful tool.<\/p>\n

Language Objective:\u00a0\u00a0 <\/u>I can orally explain what team work skills worked best to rebuild the tower and what cooperative skills my team needs to work on.<\/p>\n
