{"id":3226,"date":"2020-03-13T12:19:20","date_gmt":"2020-03-13T16:19:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/gruczl\/?p=3226"},"modified":"2020-03-13T12:19:20","modified_gmt":"2020-03-13T16:19:20","slug":"some-ideas-for-at-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/gruczl\/2020\/03\/13\/some-ideas-for-at-home\/","title":{"rendered":"Some Ideas for at home:"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Parents and student,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wishing everyone stays healthy and safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will post on my blog weekly Science\/STEM and online link activities for all grades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some online sources students can use are:&nbsp; BrainPop Jr, Mystery Science<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To start, here are a few ideas:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Build tallest tower- using material such as legos, paper cups, blocks, etc<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Build a bridge- using materials such as popsicle sticks, legos, blocks, paper towel rolls, cups<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Sink\/Float activity- Fill a tub with water and test various objects and observe if they float or sink.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Pick a planet to research- Learn at least 10 new facts about it. Compare it to another planet. How are they the same\/different?<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Pick an animal to research and create a poster- Describe the animal, it\u2019s habitat, adaptations, etc.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Create a new animal- What does it look like, what are its structures and functions, where would it live and why?<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Go on Scaveger Hunt outside &#8211; Find as many objects as you can that start with each letter of the alphabet &nbsp; (Ex.
