Young 5’s<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Exploring with Science tools!<\/p>\n

Kindergarten<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The students observed how things move (push and pull) by using jump ropes, balls, and scooters!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"\u00a0<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

First and Second Graders\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The students have been learning about what scientist and engineers do.\u00a0 They explored with legos while building, creating and inventing.\u00a0 They also learned how to ask questions like a scientist to discover and learn knew things.\u00a0 (I wonder… Why? What? How?)<\/p>\n

Third Graders<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

STEM Activity (Forces Push and Pull and Motion)<\/p>\n

The students had to work as a team to get the stone across the black paper creating a tool using only the materials provided(rubber band, popsicle stick, straw and string).\u00a0 They can not touch the stone with their hands and they must use at least 2 or more of the materials.<\/p>\n

Fourth Grade<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The students recognized various ways energy is transferred and transformed.\u00a0 They experimented with what happens when marbles collide.\u00a0 What happens when 1 marble hits 5 marble? 2 marbles hit 5 marbles?, etc.\u00a0 They observed energy being transferred!<\/p>\n

Fifth Grade<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The students are learning about properties of matter.\u00a0 They are discovering what’s inside 6 different mystery boxes by shaking the boxes,\u00a0 identifying some of it’s properties to get evidence<\/em>, and using the evidence to make a claim<\/em> (what they think is in the box based on the evidence).<\/p>\n
