Beginning <\/span>May 8th, <\/b>your child will take the M-Step. The results of this test are \/ and will be used to determine your child\u2019s instructional level and to measure academic growth from year to year. <\/span><\/p>\n

Please remind your child of the following test-taking tips. <\/b><\/p>\n

Before the Test<\/b>:<\/b><\/p>\n

*Develop a positive attitude. Tell yourself, “I will do my best on this test.”<\/span><\/p>\n

*Get a good night’s sleep the night before the test.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Get up early enough to avoid rushing to get to school on time.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Eat a healthy breakfast.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the Test:<\/b><\/p>\n

*Relax and Stay calm.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Listen carefully to the directions the teacher gives.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Ask questions if you do not understand what to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Read each question carefully. Find the key words. Try to figure out what the question is really asking. <\/span><\/p>\n

*Read ALL the answer choices before you make your answer choice.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Use strategies you learned in class to figure out the answer. <\/span><\/p>\n
