{"id":931,"date":"2017-03-03T15:02:53","date_gmt":"2017-03-03T20:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/griffip\/?p=931"},"modified":"2017-03-03T15:23:07","modified_gmt":"2017-03-03T20:23:07","slug":"week-of-march-6-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/griffip\/2017\/03\/03\/week-of-march-6-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of March 6, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have begun &#8220;March is Reading Month&#8221;. \u00a0We will be doing a book swap on Thursday, March 9th. \u00a0Starting Monday, the students are encouraged to bring in age appropriate books that they have already read and are comfortable donating. \u00a0The students will then do a &#8220;swap&#8221; of their old books for &#8220;new&#8221; books.<\/p>\n<p>We are reading the novel <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tuck Everlasting<\/span> with a focus on characterization. \u00a0We are exploring the traits of various characters in the book and then will write a character analysis. \u00a0We are using foldables as a way to help students prepare themselves to be able to complete the essay. This will be a paper that we will started together and students will finish independently.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>HOMEWORK<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Read Theory.org four nights a week (one day done in class) for 30 minutes \u00a0(We randomly select a day to check and give points.
