They read in their reading groups and summarized portions of the text and made connections on the reading journal worksheet they were given\u00a0as they read along . After they read we listened to a reading of the story as a class and filled out a &#8220;character map&#8221; worksheet that focused on the characteristics of the main character.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Homework:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Read for 20 minutes!<\/p>\n<p>Students have a quiz on the story &#8220;Eleven&#8221; and on Point of View tomorrow.
