{"id":1122,"date":"2017-10-02T13:43:44","date_gmt":"2017-10-02T17:43:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/griffip\/?p=1122"},"modified":"2017-10-02T13:43:58","modified_gmt":"2017-10-02T17:43:58","slug":"october-2-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/griffip\/2017\/10\/02\/october-2-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"October 2, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We can&#8217;t believe that September has already passed and we are moving into the fall. \u00a0The students have already completed their first summative assessment by completing the &#8220;All About Me&#8221; poem. \u00a0We are finally finished with our testing for the beginning of the year. \u00a0Your students should have thier new RIT (NWEA) reading score, the Lexile conversion and their grade level equivalent of that score. \u00a0This will give them an opportunity to choose books that are directly in that range.<\/p>\n<p>The standing homework is reading 20 minutes a night for 5 nights a week. \u00a0Your students should have a small bookmark that they are filling out with the title of the book and the time read. \u00a0This week the bookmark will be yellow &#8211; this is the third bookmark you should be seeing.
