The parts of a story included setting, characters, and conflict. They took notes of each on a loose leaf sheet of paper to refer back to for studying purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Students also developed a foldable to help them remember the stages of a plot. The stages include the exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. They were presented with a powerpoint slide of each stage. They drew the pyramid of action on the back of this foldable to help them remember the stages of a plot in a story.<\/p>\n<p>Before leaving, the students began reading Langston Hughes &#8220;Thank you, Ma&#8217;am&#8221; in order to apply their understanding of the different stages of a plot.<\/p>\n<p>Classes were cut shorter today due to Meap testing. They will continue the story and plot chart tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Meap testing will continue tomorrow for Social Studies and Science<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Homework:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Read for 20 mintues \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Rest and be prepared for the Meap!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Celebrities of the Day!!!
