{"id":145,"date":"2020-04-13T13:40:31","date_gmt":"2020-04-13T17:40:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/goecke\/?p=145"},"modified":"2020-04-13T13:40:31","modified_gmt":"2020-04-13T17:40:31","slug":"1st-and-2nd-new-lesson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/goecke\/2020\/04\/13\/1st-and-2nd-new-lesson\/","title":{"rendered":"1st and 2nd new lesson!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Abstract Letters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes it&#8217;s hard for an artist to decide what to draw or paint.\u00a0 Many artists work in an <strong>abstract <\/strong>style,  more about line, shape and color than a subject.\u00a0 The following method works great to get you working in an abstract style.\u00a0 Fill an entire entire sheet of paper with <strong>letters and\/or numbers.<\/strong> Use letters and\/or numbers in <strong>different sizes and positions<\/strong>.\u00a0 Make sure many letters\/numbers are <strong>connected.\u00a0 <\/strong>Have some coming right off the page.! If you want to include names or sentences, feel free.\u00a0 Trace over all of the lines you created with a dark color such as black.\u00a0 Then, using a vairety of colors, color most of the white spaces in between the letters\/numbers.\u00a0 Use any materials you have around the house. This would make a great painting project, if you have paints and brushes.\u00a0\u00a0Have fun!  I would love to see your work.
