Finally, the weather seems to be breaking!\u00a0 Maybe Spring will be coming soon!<\/p>\n

Next Wednesday, March 20th, the 5th grades will be going on a field trip to the IMax theater and the Ford Rouge Factory Tour.\u00a0 We will leave at about 9:15 and be back by 2:30.\u00a0 The cost for the students will be $8.00.\u00a0 If you would like to join us, the cost for parents is $16.50.\u00a0 Please let me know if you will be available to chaperone this trip.\u00a0 Help\u00a0 is always appreciated.<\/p>\n

Literacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will continue work on identifying the 4 types of sentences (declarative, interrogative, imperative, exclamatory) and\u00a0 conjunctions.\u00a0 We will also be preparing for the M-Step testing by working with text and questioning on-line.<\/p>\n

Writing<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 The students will continue work on our classroom narrative as well as working on their own narrative.<\/p>\n

Science<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will look at what causes nighttime and daytime and how the revolution and rotation of the Earth cause them.<\/p>\n

Social Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 The students will continue studying the three colonial regions in the New World including their economics, landforms, religion and government.<\/p>\n

Math<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will continue working on\u00a0 multi-digit multiplication.<\/p>\n
