Oh my, it looks as though we will have a normal week, 5 full days!<\/p>\n

At the end of this week March is Reading Month begins. We will have the theme, \u201cUnder the Ocean\u201d and will focus on non-fiction text.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Homework<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spelling<\/strong>– Write your words 2 times each in cursive on paper.<\/p>\n

Social Studies<\/strong>– Study your states and capitals<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Read at least 20 minutes and write in your log.<\/p>\n

This Week\u2019s Objectives<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Literacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will work on identifying the 4 types of sentences (declarative, interrogative, imperative, exclamatory) and working on conjunctions.<\/p>\n

Writing<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 The students will finish their informational piece on the Earth\u2019s spheres and then begin work on a narrative.<\/p>\n

Science<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will continue focusing on the force of gravity and its effects. We will then look at what causes nighttime and daytime.<\/p>\n

Social Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2013 The students will be studying the three colonial regions in the New World including their economics, landforms, religion and government..<\/p>\n

Math<\/strong><\/p>\n

-The students will continue multiplying multi-digit whole numbers and multiples of 10 using place value patterns and the distributive and associative properties. We will also be converting numerical expressions into unit form as a mental strategy for multi-digit multiplication.<\/p>\n
